Not an elitist by any means but I have 3 max party, 2 max alcohol, and 2 max sweet.

As far as the separate area you want....try pre searing Ascalon there are plenty of consumables available there on a daily basis.

This idea indirectly hurts my gameplay because
  • It asks developers to spend time that they don't have to generate "end-game content";
  • This content would hardly qualify as "end-game" or "content" in the scope of other things that are considered as such;
  • If the amount of title points earned through this is meant to be sub-par, it asks the devs to create something that isn't worth players' time.

I'm all for making grindy titles less-grindy to get, but I think this would be a waste of dev resources. Something simpler, like making sweets, party animal items, and drunkard items obtained through playing the game (aka, quest rewards, monster drops, etc.) seems like a better idea.

I know there are already some ways to get these items through playing the game (z-rewards, snowman dungeon), but having more options could never hurt.

BTW GWAMM means nothing more then you have too much time on your hands and nothing better to do with it, stop talking it up like it deserves an ounce of respect.

The OP is just saying "since the only thing left to do (after WoC comes out that is) is title grind; let's make pointless titles that are obtained through festival and snowman farming obtainable through other means. Not necessarily easier, but more interesting means.

Doesn't mean I agree with the idea, but haters need to not hate and read the idea.

I agree that the consumable titles are a bit cumbersome to acquire. But if your going for other titles, you should get good enough at the game to farm during events and get enough extra cash to get the rest.

Titles are unimpressive. They are easy, just time consuming. As long as grind > skill, idc if they are easier to attain.

I would rather resources be put into more endgame content. I could even go for adding more consumables for rewards on the new content and continue reward creep to existing events as a better alternative.

-Devs waste of time.
-Nicholas The Traveler.
-By doing some festival quests you get loads (Don't get how can you say Snowball Dominance it's boring, it has always been fun!)
-Some titles have synergy with these ones (kilroy punch out->survivor+alcohol)

In every post you show "elitism".

Titles are easy to accompany by just playing the game with a little help when it's event. How?!?!?!

1. Everything that drops if it's white ID it and sell (in HM, most white ID items are like 50-120g), or know what salvage into: Plant Fiber, Iron Ingots, Dust, Granite.
2. After you get that stacks, save DUST, BONES, IRON. Every 2-3 weeks I make 5-10 consets which is 40-85k. Every few weeks.
3. Sell Nicholas Gifts every week for 20k.
4. Don't ID gold items. That title is for 80% people just a dream. If you want Consumable titles, you need to give out of something. Sell 7 unids for 4-5k.
5. Take LoD if you are doing dungeons. Maybe funny, but I get a lot of sapphires out of it.
6. Who say you can't get a good drop, while doing Survivor by doing FOW NM i got Obby Edge Q10, while doing NM i got a several of Q7-Q8 shields.
7. Now this is only thing I clarify as FARM. Get elementaler or ranger (make PVP charr) and do Zaishen Elite every day. Every day you get approx 5-6k of balthazar, which makes around 30-35 zkeys every month. Now that is atleast 150k every month.
8. Zaishen Mission, Vanquish and Bounty. Almost all three doable under 2h all together, and that is like 1-4k of money, plus drops it can get up to 6k and more.

Now, before you say anything against this, I know A LOT of people who acquired these titles by doing this what I've wrote up. There is cash around you, you just need to look more.

You should be able to make approx 60-120k per month without ZE, with it you should be able to make 200-300k.

I acquired GWAMM before few weeks, and yes, i wanted to rip out hair out of my head for some things.

I got like 5-7k of drunk minutes back when you had to actually wait for it, now it's just double click.
for Parties I've had tonics, which is like: 250 tonics is 20-25k, and 250 gives 500 points. Let's say you get them 25k per 500 points, to get 10 000 points from scratches you need 500k. Which can be obtain under 3-4 months if you follow my advice.

For sweets it's another story, but you should be able to buy them as well as well as alcohol by saving money.

EDIT:

Forgot to add, you got pre Nicholas...

it's just another QQ thread.

I fixed that for you.

Getting 50/50 HoM is definitely worth it because you get tones of titles right at the start of GW2. The reason I am talking about HoM is because 50/50 gets you close to gwamm and you might as well get it if your that close.

X-Plosiv has good points.

I was amazed at how much money started piling in when I stopped buying lockpicks. I made enough for 2 elite armors in less than two weeks just doing VQs and random crap with family and guildies.

Also the pre-sear Nick is a good point. You'll have enough honey to get you far along after just a few months.

They will be money titles unless cons become nontransferable. Never going to happen when it will drive away much of the interest in festivals and farming. These are necessary evils to keeping interest in a six year old game.

Although I hate with a passion how they essentially mandate repeatable, mass-farming efforts, the idea is overblown.

Money is such a funny thing in gw.X-Plosiv hit the nail on the head when he said theres money all around you.
most players in the first year see 100k as being rich , then 500k and so on - when you start selling consets in bulk 50+ suddenly you realise how damn easy its to make money and suddenly 1000k isnt much.Probably one of the easiest ( if you have factions that is ) is feather farming and a few hrs ( yes i said a few hrs ) you can farm a stack or 2 of feathers which can be sold for between 8 - 10k at times. Now spend a few hrs daily and its an easy 140k a week plus any rune drops and yes theres chances for +30/+41 runes , survivor , shamen , sourl reaping minor.
Also you get golds which tho low req can be sold in sets to ppl doing wisdom title.
Theres easy money all around you but sometimes players need to open their eyes and see it
The amount of ways to make money would probably have its own thread and probably be around 50+ pages easily.

If you are in an outpost and you see a big amount of players at lvl 20 and say outpost usually has lower lvl players - watch where they go then look that place up on wiki and its foes and work out what they are farming - failing that you can always ask but not every player likes to discuss their farms ( even if they got it of gwpvx ).

3 hours per day - possible to make 3 or more feather stacks. 1 run takes 8-13 minutes and usually it's around 50 feathers.
Do your math.

And usually when i do feather farm, just from runes/insignias I make around 3-6k. So, 1 feather farm is 8-10k + 3-6k ...

I prefer minigames you share with others, instead solo minigames.

As to make the consumables mean smething, I'd rather give them an actual effect, like making the drunk status last longer, so you need to drink less to benefit from the drinks for PVE skills that use the status, and so you can keep more booze so your other characters can get it too.

Misleading title is misleading. I was expecting some kind of Sweet Tooth effect when the title was equipped or something.

With the Zaishen, Shining Blade, and Traveler, there is really no need for more places to make these items available. I expect that there will even be a Winds of Change bounty of some kind once all the arcs are released, keeping with past patterns.
I can understand the motivation behind the idea, it just doesn't seem necessary. Many players are bored with the game at this point and looking for new ways to make it interesting to do the same things without feeling grind-y, but this isn't the way to make that happen.

While X-plosiv gives various means to get money, i would suggest NOT doing a few things he suggests, if you are after the Party/Sugar/Drunkard titles you should open Traveler gifts and Huntsmen gifts, as they give various Party/Sugar/Booze items, and i would suggest buying them instead of selling.

Al sorts of other play rewards give consumable items, royal gifts f/e and zaishen coins and what not. I think you may need to visit the Wiki to actually see where you can get what, sure it may still take you time to get these titles, but there are way more places to get the stuff you are after then the festivals you mention. Just gotta look for them to realise you can play very diverse content to obtain the items you are after and that those do not have to mean 'actual' grinding (where grinding is repeatedly doing the same content over and over to get these items, like f/e doing the Forgotten Lair.)
